Drifting away my little one?
Do not drown in the ocean of society,
Blessed is your heart through a straying mind.
Your being is just, be steady,
Plant your feet and let the water flow over.
Dream and know your scratches and bruises
will be kissed away.
Fly gently in the breeze,
Magic caught in your eyes,
Hold your soul, be free.
Stumbling through life does not seem to be an option for me,
though I may fall many times, down the same hole it may seem.
Though I do promise myself that I will try,
give life all that I have to give.
I will lead in a wayward manner,
to discover, to learn,

We are all interconnected throughout the universe in both a big and small way. Even if for just a brief moment, a glance. My latest Art folio resonates this through new connections and also with my past, the women who have left this beautiful Earth but at the same time left me with a wonderful sense of being. The title however gives me a regard for all those past, present and future to sit and ponder with others to create connections on a more deeper level and at a slower pace, so we can weave our hearts and souls and truly have the power to give to others in a very special way! I hope you enjoy my latest series and hope you can find time to give to both yourself and others - Go weave into the hearts of others!
It is believed the Ti Kouka (cabbage tree) is used by Maori travellers to guide them through the landscape. Also noted is a Maori proverb "He rau ti-pinaki, he arero wahine" referring to the long leaf of the cabbage tree being like the talkative tongue of a woman". Whilst in New Zealand last week I found this to be quite profound as I found the connection of the people to their land to be immensely respectful and strong. My own personal encounters throughout the week with other artists, funnily enough women, truly made me open my eyes and ears open to the stories we have to share with one another and how powerful true connection to others is via the arts community. Thank you to New Zealand for sharing your beautiful people and land, a small self journey to awareness of space and connectivity.
This image is titled "Lady of the Land", taken at Mount Zion, a farm just out of Wanganui/Whanganui owned by Pauline and Blue whom I had the privilege of staying with, thank you both for your hospitality and kindness.
Setting off for New Zealand tomorrow to collaborate, inspire and be inspired by the beautiful country of New Zealand and it's wonderful people. This reminds me to take heed and remember all the beautiful people in my life who support me, to phone home whenever possible and to never fall complacent.

You are a product of your own being, of mind, body and soul. Believing in myself has become one of my mantra's and I hope you all can too. Here is a link to a wonderfully inspiring Facebook page that I found and hope you can get inspired also: https://www.facebook.com/DailyInspiration
I hope you all enjoy your long weekend!
Believe in cause with strength and conviction, believe in oneself,
create a flow on effect, start to give back to some of your beliefs,
take heart, strive with persistence,
reach out not for want, but for need,
together we can achieve!
If you cannot find a cause or purpose for yourself for now, look to others for inspiration,
to rub shoulders with, look outward instead of inward, surprise yourself in knowing that a greater cause can solely have even a slight effect on somebody else and give back that little smile within!
photo journal (Melbourne streets)
A few of my images, which will form part of an ongoing historical photographic portrayal of Melbourne city and her people, these will be a mix of historical documentation, street photography and street portraits, the day-to-day goings on hopefully represented in a quiet and somewhat romantic manner for such a bustling city. Enjoy!

Take the time to pick up a book, to read, to sit with your friends, converse, take photographs, print, create, draw. However you decide to create ensure yourself the use of quality of time, these are the moments that ensure beautiful memories that we can look back on and cherish.
Oh! and remember to collaborate, I believe more minds are greater than mine alone!
